Executive Coaching from a Seasoned ExecutiveNancy Litzler’s extensive corporate experience, combined with her human resources expertise, makes her a truly unique human resources consultant and business and career coach. Nancy is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of corporate business experience, 15 years of which were spent working at the senior executive level. She established Litzler & Associates to put her business coaching, career coaching and human resources competencies to work empowering executives, managers and professionals to achieve their life dreams and professional goals and help companies to succeed. Nancy began her professional career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and joined ClubCorp as Operations Manager in 1986. She later transferred to ClubCorp’s Human Resources department, where she formally embarked on her executive and coaching career. Nancy earned an MBA in 1988 and joined Eljer Industries, Inc. in 1989 to help establish a Human Resources department in Dallas following its divestiture from Household International and the integration of three operating companies with distinctly diverse cultures. During her tenure, Nancy supported the management team to keep employee morale high during litigation with the company’s former parent, as well as during two hostile takeover attempts, a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing of a subsidiary and a merger in 1997. In 1995, Nancy became Eljer’s Vice President, Human Resources, and assumed responsibility for the total human resources function including risk management and union labor issues. She also assumed responsibility for executive compensation matters, working directly with the Board of Directors’ Compensation Committee. During this time, Nancy gained a strong reputation as a visible and fair leader who built confidence and trust through extensive, hands-on coaching with employees at the plants and at the corporate headquarters. She remained with Eljer for the six months after the company was acquired by Zurn in January 1997 to help to facilitate the change in control and to smoothly transition human resources responsibilities to Zurn’s existing vice president of human resources. In 1997, Nancy joined Dave & Buster's, Inc. as a member of the executive team. Here, she participated in the development and implementation of business strategy and policies that grew the company from 12 locations and 3,200 employees to 50 locations and 8,000 employees in less than 10 years. As Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Nancy served as an expert resource to members of Dave & Buster’s senior management. She ensured the human resources delivery systems (staffing, training, performance management, succession planning, compensation, compliance, and systems) provided the human capital infrastructure to continue to grow the business. She developed a strong human resources team, established best strategic human resources practices and developed an internal coaching program to help senior management, managers and individuals with leadership potential to develop their core leadership competencies. Throughout her tenure at Dave & Buster’s, Nancy provided coaching to executives, senior management, and middle management to enhance development and create versatile leadership effectiveness. Nancy supported management to resolve the human resources challenges resulting from the acquisition of Jillian’s, a competitor in bankruptcy. Following the privatization and acquisition of Dave & Buster’s by Wellspring Capital Investments in 2005, Nancy played an integral role in the subsequent re-organization of the company. Nancy has been active in the community by contributing her time and talents to many wonderful nonprofit organizations including board level involvement with Inroads, Inc., The Family Place and Vice President of the board for The Elisa Project. She also served on the advisory council for the Dallas Jubilee Project. Nancy volunteered as coach to the executive directors for two of these organizations. Today, Nancy is following her own passion—which is helping companies and individuals to not only succeed but to thrive. She put her business expertise and life experiences to work and has followed her life’s dreams and goals by founding Litzler & Associates. |
